I knew I definitely wanted to visit Olympia when we docked in Katakolon to see the ancient town and the incredible museum. We had to wait an hour for the train, so we sat on the dock and had the best iced cappuccinos. By this point, I decided that everything is better in Greece. It was a hot day, but it was amazing to walk around the site of the first olympic games. We got to imagine where the crowds would sit and where the athletes would prepare for their competitions. Lunch was also delicious, but we were constantly looking out for giant hornets! We ended the day back at the cafe with a second round of iced cappuccinos and then dipped our feet in the Mediterranean. It was a perfect day of interesting history, beautiful sights, and delicious espresso!
