Kotor, Montenegro

Next stop: Montenegro! The city of Kotor is encircled by an old fortress that extends up the mountains and was built to protect the city in the Venetian period. The hike up the fortress was tiring, but the reward at the top was a view of the entire bay. It was a hot day and we got eaten alive by mosquitoes (I think I got 15 on one leg...) but it was amazing to see the old ruins about the city.
